TBT: Mah Upsies
Hello, my neglected tumblr.
I check on you everyday however I rarely update you.
Please don’t hate me. I still care for you.
Discovered the pianos on campus today
Recap: Whole Earth Festival at UC Davis
So everyone talks about Picnic Day at Davis, but I think this event was overall so much more fun for me. My campus turned into a hippie land for 3 days. It was a self efficient entity where there was no waste in terms of food and plastic. All food and beverages were served on plates or cups which were later returned to be washed. There were hand made items, hemp made clothing, earth-y themed trinkets and more. There were performances and music. People came from different cultures and ideals. There were families with kids, to college kids from UC Davis, to hippies that lived in Davis or elsewhere. This event by far made me love my campus.

I forgot the flavors of our popsicles.. but they were really unique. I think one of them were mango and sweet rice.

Just a little preview to my recap that I’ll post tomorrow.
Editing photos and talking to my mom via skype
She asked me if I wanted the watermelon my grandma bought. We always end up talking about food. She also complained about the bad service she had at this Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant. (hence the 2nd pic)
Yup, gotta love my mums.
We were hippies for the weekend. We danced and played the drums. We were around so many different types of people with so much positivity and love. Peace Whole Earth Fest, you transformed my school into a new world. Til next year

I was on Autostraddle, a queer womyn online magazine, and I was reading this article about dressing professionally yet still looking like you.
I don’t really know how my picture really fits into the article (perhaps it’s because I’m wearing a button up and the whole article is emphasizing on button ups) but I’m glad because this article is highly related me. Which is hella funny since lately I’ve been trying to find that balance of looking professional but still have my sense of style in it. Looking appropriate but still staying true to myself.
so yay
However, this article wasn’t really specific enough. But then again, not all queer womyn dress the same. For me, my ideal “professional” outfit is:
- Oxford button up
- Blazer
- Dress Pants (slimming and not long)
- Wingtip Oxford Shoes
I have yet to achieve these basic pieces (because I’m really specific on what I want.) The hunt continues.
My liver is hating me this week.
My haircuts just keep getting shorter and shorter.
I change my hair pretty often.
This is my asymmetric permed before picture.
