Vietnamese New Years is all about the red envelopes and the quarters you saved up all year just to gamble.

Tet (iv)

Grand Century (San Jose, CA)

Recap: 2/6/11 - Tet (Vietnamese New Years) pt2

I know, I know. Way, way old right? I swear I was going to upload it earlier. I was going to post this before my SD trip, but then the SD trip came around so yeah. Oh wells, better late than never. Normally when things reach that 3 week time - I would just not post it, but I actually like this set. Besides, Tet is my favorite holiday and why not relive it? Food, money, and fire crackers? It’s just a given.

It was the last day of Tet, so the family went to Grand Century to see some firecrackers since we heard a lot of people have been burning some. It turns out that the cops were practically camping there so no one lit anything. Instead, everyone was gambling.

Even the kids were gambling.

I have no idea what this was, but it looked interesting.

My mums wanted to go to Lion Market to go grocery shopping and then I heard fire crackers from far away. Yup, my favorite past time.
